it's totally your choice. it's still relatively low risk of contracting hsv1 genitally but not no risk. Personally, in a situation like this, it's best to take full precautions since there are other partners involved.

I would like to know whether our precautions without condoms for oral and not limiting kissing except during obvious outbreaks are a sound and reasonable approach
http://www.ashastd.org/herpes/herpes_learn_oralherpes.cfm is a terrific site for more reading on hsv1 oral infections.
if you are concerned about contracting hsv1 genitally, only receive protected oral sex and avoid it and kissing anytime she has obvious cold sores.

I apologize for not including this in the original thread
In response to your questions I have been tested as negative hsv1 and hsv2
We have both been tested negative for all other std
We will use condoms for intercorse not oral
I appreciate any additional information you can provide
if you read our read before posting, you'll see that we suggest you just keep adding new questions to your original post and not make a new one each time. thank you for your future cooperation with this.
did you get tested yet to know your own status?
also have you both been tested for all other std's, including hsv2?
