Quest Diagnostics Hsv Test...Plz Help !!!

Hello everyone, I just recieved my Quest Diagnostics test result for Hsv, and i have to say its confusing at the least. When i was called to come pick up a "copy" of my results i was relieved thinking that all came back negitive. Once i recieved my results and looked at them, to my judgement they say positive. I questioned the nurse and she confimed to me it was negitive because it says Reference range : Not detected. and she highlighted it for me and sent me on my way... To me it looks as though these results say positive and are misformated somehow. i will copy word for word the results.. any help would be appreciated. The reason for the test was because i had unprotected sex one month ago and now im hearing rumors that person has Hsv.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Test Name                                 In Range                         Out Of Range                    Reference Range         Lab

you need to wait at least 3 months post encounter to get herpes igg blood testing done.

sores under the tongue usually are not herpes. should they reoccur, be seen within a day or two of them appearing for a proper exam.

The reason for getting tested someone told me that the person i had unprotected sex with has Hsv. This was one Month ago that we had sex. 3 weeks later i noticed 2 what seemed like cold sores under my tongue. So this concerned me and i went to get tested. The results in my previous post is all i see on the paper they gave me. I do not see anything stating Igg or any numbers. I do see its says PENDING to the right where it says HERPES SIMPLEX VIRUS ANTIBODY IGM TITER ,this makes me think there are more results to be waited on.
I have no clue the more i look at these results the more confusing they get i dont even see how a Doctor could interrput them. From what i have been reading on these is that i need to wiat another 2 months and just get the specific type tests done.

the only results you've listed is the herpes igm test.  Herpes igm testing is very flawed testing and current CDC testing recommendations do not recommend it being used on adults.

you should've also had a herpes igg blood test done and it should've had numeric results. please post those for more assistance.

also why did you get tested?  how long prior to testing had you last had sex?
