Is this genital Herpes ?

I had protected vaginal sex and unprotected oral sex with my new girlfriend on Aug-27, and this is the first time I had sex in about one year. I found out a herpes-like outbreak at the corona of the glans of penis in the next morning (Aug-28). The symptom of herpes appeared (fluid and puss coming from ulcer, but I am not sure if it's ulcer) in about 12-hour after the sexual contact. I also see some skin was teared maybe due to friction. Today, I went to see my doctor and he took the sample and did a culture test. I was also tested for PRP and hepatitis b. Does this sound like I have herpes? Can anyone tell me the probability for me to get herpes? Thank you very much.

usually you will feel pain with herpes lesions and not just when you touch them.

Thank you for your reply. I will talk to her about this. It is true that I have not been checked for herpes before this, so I am very nervous right now. The doctor said it might be better to test other STD just in case.  I do not feel anything like burning, itching, and pain. I do feel pain when I touch the ulcer directly, otherwise I feel nothing at all. Is this consistent with the herpes symptoms?

A newly acquired herpes infection will not show up 12 hours later.

have you and your gf discussed this? when did she last have std testing done?

herpes is not a part of routine std testing. odds are that neither of you have ever been tested for it before. you'll both have to check to see if you were or not.
