Reading Herpes Lab Results?

Can someone help me clarify the results?

Herpes Culture (VCM) Swab
Herpes Simplex Virus Culture with Reflex to Typing  -  Isolated (Not Isolated - Not Isolated)

Herpes Simplex Virus Typing
HSV Type 1 - Unable to type
HSV Type 2  - Unable to type

Does this mean positive or negative to the herpes virus..?

THank you!

Wow!! Talk about great service. I would call the lab on Monday. They will tell you for sure what the result means. I can't believe "not typed" for both would be positive!! That would mean the test picked up both. Not a realistic possibility.

Usually the test would say not isolated but I would read your results the same, which is negative. Did your Dr call you with the results? You can always call the lab and ask as well.

Thanks for the response. I went to City MD and they weren't willing to discuss over the phone. When I went in, the person who gave me the results said I tested positive for a bloodwork (even though he was pointing at swab test). Hence the confusion!

Thank you for your response. Greatly appreciated!
