Right, that's what I got from it to. I have a blood test coming as well but this is very relieving.
Bottom line is that the gram stain has nothing to do with herpes.
This is a herpes forum but it appears that Strep is what the sores are. You might want to ask them if they tested for herpes but bottom line is that a swab is only conclusive showing a positive for herpes not a negative as often its missed. To confirm herpes have a blood test but it does a appear the strep is from the ulcer.
Just got some results back from the swab taken from the sores... can anyone help me decipher these?

Organism 1
1) GROUP B STREPTOCOCCUS HEAVY GROWTH
- Groups A, B, C and G streptococcal isolates are predictably susceptible to penicillin, amoxicillin and
cephalosporins (e.g. cephalexin), therefore antimicrobial susceptibility testing is not routinely performed.
Susceptibility to erythromycin and clindamycin is variable.
Organism 2

I find it very odd that a skin irritation from shaving would last this long, but let's hope so. Thanks very much. Just talking about it on here has brought me some peace and helped with the anxiety.
If that last encounter is your worry that you contracted herpes, dont worry as its not spread that way. You had no risk with the mutual masturbation, so you can rule that out. Your irritation are most likely from the shaving and the hair growing back.
I have had various unprotected (and protected) encounters over the last year or two. Taking stupid risks ... ugh.
The day I shaved (around the 13th or 14th) I had an encounter with a girl who told me she had genital herpes. She was not showing any signs and we did not have intercourse but we did engage in mutual masturbation. That evening I played with her and immediately washed my hands (didn't touch myself). The next morning she gave me a handjob and I jumped in the shower after. There is a possibility that she may have slightly touched herself before and I was slightly touching her during.
Do you think this is from a recent encounter or something from the past?
Thanks so much for engaging in this discussion with me. I haven't been able to eat or sleep for a few days. The anxiety is killing me and unfortunately I live alone and have no one to talk to.
I don't have any results at all yet, except for testing negative for HIV but I guess that test is quicker.
I do recall having a coldsore when I was younger though for what it's worth.
I dont believe those are herpes as are not puss contained and since there at the hair folicle i would think its a simple bacterial. Also they dont migrate from the base to the shaft, they spread after the first sore is opened.
If your test comes out negative, dont be surprised and also what about your hsv1 results?
Okay I should clarify - I didn't suspect anything other than ingrown hairs at first, which is why I continued to have sex... if I had any suspicion they could have been herpes I definitely would have not!!
I should add the bottom two turned into blister looking sores and the top one just remained a bump.
Additionally, after I first noticed them I received a few handjobs, a blowjob, had sex a few times and masturbated a lot. I'm very confident I have simply aggravated razor burn.
I have 3. The two main ones are located at the base of my penis on the left side, in the hair and both originated over hair follicles. They are about 5 or 6 mm apart, but in the same, exact line that I was running my razor. The third is located up my penis on the shaft, quite far away from the other two and is only a small bump and is right on a hair follicle. They have had various stages of white pus and clear pus. The bigger of the bottom two runs lengthwise slightly (again in the direction of the razor).
Yes thats good. Tell me about the sores location and are they only on one side or all around.
I have not got any results yet. Unfortunately things move a bit slower here in Canada for this type of thing I guess as it could take up to 2 weeks. I'm just trying to calm my nerves a bit.
I guess the fact that they aren't painful, only just a tiny bit (like when you apply HP to small cuts), is a good sign?
Hi, it just depends if they are blister type or small razor cuts but yes, they should be painful with hsv2. Did you test positive with a swab test?
