The way to interpret this is that you definitely positive.  You are infected with both HSV 1 and HSV 2, and can transmit this infection to others, even when you don't have obvious symptoms.  If you are having sex with someone who is not infected, you would be wise to take daily antiviral therapy to reduce the risk of infecting them.  I would recommend that you read the Herpes Handbook and watch the patient counseling video on our website, westoverheights.com to get started on information gathering.

I am not an expert and do not want to scare but if it is the typical blood test than it is usually based on a scale of any number over 1.0 is positive so im sorry to say that this is most likely positive. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news and if i am wrong i apologize!
