I just received my tests results and they came back as followed:

Herpes I IgG = 4.0  <0.9 Negative
Herpes II IgG = 1.6 <0.9 Negative

Herpes I IgM = 0.3 <0.9 Negative
Herpes II IgM = 0.4 <0.9 Negative

This means im positive for both Herpes I y II ?!?! I dont get it tho, ive never had any symptoms or lesions... im really worried tho, cause i plan on getting married and i dont know what to tell that person... i dont have any lesions or anything and ive never had an outbreak... i dont get it i've hear d somewhere if you get a low IgG number it could be a false positive or i should get restest?!?! is living with herpes difficult?! would my wife be able to have children safely?! please someone help respond... thank you

Yep I have kids.  It wasn't an issue with them. I had a c section with my first pregnancy because I had back to back ob's the entire time. I took suppressive therapy most of my 2nd pregnancy ( that was my decision - not my doctor's ) and tried to delivery her vaginally but she had other ideas about that!  all of the folks I know who have genital herpes ( both online and in real life ) have had completely healthy kids from a herpes standpoint.  Thankfully the risk of transmitting the virus to your baby is very low.

hey thanks for the encouraging words... i just read online that if you test positive for HSV  1 which if its above 3 or 3.5 and low positive for HSV - 2 1.0-3.0 it could be a false positive and getting tested again wasnt a bad idea... and that mostly likely i dont have HSV-2... do you have any kids btw?! has it effected them? sorry to bug just worried

It could be right and it could be wrong.  You should consider getting a herpes WB to confirm it. If your clinic uses quest labs you can get the herpes inhibition assay instead - test # 17170.

It's not very hard at all to live with herpes. I've been doing it myself for 22 years now and you can't tell the difference between me or anyone else around me.  So what if every now and then I have to avoid sex - most times my partner could use the break anyways....he he he.  And so what if I take medication everyday for it.  If my doctor told me I had high blood pressure and I needed to take medication everyday for it I wouldn't blink an eye - what makes herpes any different?

Don't let the IDEA of herpes mess with you.

Your hsv2 igg is a low positive and needs confirmed.

Your partner will also need tested too.
