I dont understand

I have been in a monogomous 2 year long distance relationship.  Before that I was in another relationship and then my husband of 15 yrs. I am faithful and have never strayed. Because of distance and finances, I have not seen my bf or been intimate with him since Aug 3.  About 3 weeks ago, I started to itch.  IMy skin became irritated, I didnt see blisters, so thoufht it was just from scratching to hard.  It looked like I
It was going away. I then got what I thought was a hemorroid.  This did not concern because I have had them before, and even had to have surgery after the birth of my daughter on one of them. So I flew into town and was intimate with my bf.  When I went to check out the condition of the roud, I sae it was a blister.  It had burst and looked like a deep lesion.  Another one was forming on the opposite side.  I then noticed an ulcer on another part of my vagina.  Im pretty sure its herpes, and as soon as it starts to clear up it shows up on the opposite side.  I have not told mt bf yet, bc I do not know for sure. I have an appointment set up in a few days.  I never cheated, but being in a long distance relationship he may think so.  I have never seen herpes on him.  So how did I get this 2 years into the relationship? And 4 months after no sex? If he does but show up with herpes in the next couple of weeks, does that mean he already had it?

Your boyfriend's symptoms sound very much like a yeast infection of the penis, yes.  Remember that severe yeast infections in women can cause genital ulcers sometimes, I have seen it many times, actually.

Have you considered doing an antibody test online?  You can do that without a doctor's order, there are many sites that do this now if you are really worried about herpes.  I would strongly recommend saving the money that you spend on olive leaf extract and spend it on an antibody test (though I'm sure the test is more than the extract).

Dr., I hope you can respond to me.  My bf now has really, really dry skin on his penis.  He said it hurts... Like chapped lips.  Could this be herpes?  When I went to the clinic they told me I had a yeast infection.  It seems like every time we are together I get one.  So Im not sure if it could be that.  Is dry skin a type of herpes symptom?  Im not sure what to do.  Since the clinic does not do herpes blood tests, I feel like a sitting duck... Waiting for another outbreak to confirm things.  Please help! I need answers.

I went to the clinic, but the lesions had healed and they said they do not do the blood test. Without insurance I can not afford to pay for the test. I will have to wait for another lesion.  I asked if I did become infected by my bf, that condoms should still be used because the virus could be spread/made worse.  Is that true?

Hi Terri, I was starting to feel relieved because the blisters all looked cleared last night.  But of course, today I woke up and a new one is forming.  Its not a blister yet, just a lump under the skin :(.  I cant catch a break.  Ive beem loading up on olive leaf extract and was hopeful.  Anyway, I have my appt with the clinic today.  Since it is a lump, im assuming that is not strong enough for a swab test.  Should I ask for the IGg?

Hi Terri, I have an appointment set for tomorrow. I know I am not the best person to decide if it is herpes, that based on pictures and reading about herpes it really seems to follow along those lines. I do not know what else it could be. I took a home yeast infection kit test and it showed to be negative. I am going to a clinic tomorrow. what time should I ask for?  and which 1 should I stay clear of if they offer it to me

First of all, have you been to see a provider to have the blisters swab tested?  That is an essential question.  I don't see anything in your post about a visit to a clinician.  You are not the best person to make this diagnosis.  Also, a swab test would tell you not only if you have herpes but if it is type 1 or 2.  You could have contracted herpes, either HSV 1 or 2, in a previously or current relationship and didn't know it previously.

Please let me know about your testing situation right away.

Sorry, I am doing this by phone and didnt notice some spelling errors.  If a petson who has been exposed to HSV shows symptoms within a weeks time, why would it be 4 months later? I have never noticed anything like this before, and considering the first outbreak is suppose to be the worse, I would definitely noticed this horror.  Ive been dealing with this for almost 4 weeks.  Im scared.  I dont know who I got this from.  Im scared that I may have given it to my bf.  Although, he may have given it to me.  If he shows no signs within 2 weeks is there a good chance he already had it? I have never seen any symptoms on him.  We are on rocky ground due to the long distance, and this will for sure destroy us. Im scared I will never find someone who wikl love me with this.  I am a single mom of 2 small chikdren and scared for their safety as well.  If im having this long of outbreaks (as soon ad one begins to heal another one pops up somewhere else), should I consider this to be a sign of many recurrences? Is it possible that this could be my only one? Feeling like a plague and ashamed :(
