most adults who have hsv2, also have hsv1. how were you originally diagnosed as having genital herpes?
most folks who have hsv2 genitally, do not have it orally. really no reason to fear that you have hsv2 orally too.
most people have ob's around the same general area most of the time. You can potentially have lesions anywhere below the waist. The location of ob's is different from overall viral shedding of the virus though.
have you ever read the free herpes handbook by Terri Warren? We have the link in our read before posting post here on the forum as well as just googling it brings it right up.
Hi Grace thanks for the info but I'm afraid next time there will be outbreaks at the anus? Guess it will be more painful..
Sorry I don't quite understand the oral hsv part. I'm quite concerned cos hsv2 is enough for me I'm afraid that what the doctor say is true. So ulitmately what are the chances of having both hsv1&2?
you already have herpes in the anal area when you have genital herpes. makes no difference how you wipe from a herpes standpoint.
definitely be seen when you have pain with urination for some basic testing to try to get to the bottom of things.
Having HSV2 has no bearing on weather or not you'll have oral herpes. Statistically most people - about 60% of the population - have oral HSV1 already, it's more common than you think. No reason to think you have oral HSV2, in fact only 3% of all oral herpes infections are this type and only a swab/culture of symptoms can confirm it.
You should always wipe your anus from front to back so it doesn't make contact with the vagina. Not because of herpes, but because of fecal matter potentially causing a UTI. You can get moist wipes or dampen toilet tissue to be able to wipe gently, no need to wipe harder.
See your provider otherwise, being afraid to be seen is silly. As to cost, you can call your local health department or go to a Planned Parenthood.
Hi Grace, thanks for the advice. I've seen the doctor and he said that it doesn't looks like herpes and most probably would be the bites from the sand flies. However, he said that although I has hsv 2 I may have cold sores in the future too. I was alarmed at first but he told me the reason was that I didn't have blisters before so kinda complicating. I told him during that period it felt like outbreaks to me, burning pain while urinating body aches fever flu etc.. But he said may be urine tract infection only with regards to the pain underneath.. So yup.. I guess I'm gonna check with another doctor to clarify cos from what I've known earlier is that having cold sores when contracted with type 2 is very rare? By the way just one last question that I'm curious about. How do herpes patients handle with the wiping of the anus after passing motion? Example for my case I have tend to wipe even harder to make sure it's clean hence the abrasion which I'm worried about. Cos the vagina is just within that area and the tissue paper would have gotten into contact with it. I know it doesn't makes much difference but just curious as some little things are obstructing my convenience sometimes. Thanks
not too much we can help you with at this point. go , be seen and find out what is going on.
Im afraid to get a swab test I can't afford to have another weighing me down
Really? I was wondering the small little red dots on my feet may be due to the irritation of the sand but the thing that got me worried is like a red "pimple" at my leg nearer to my thigh. I don't have scratches like this before.
if you are also wondering if genital herpes can infect the cuts on your legs in the shower, the answer is no.
this isn't likely to be a herpes issue. see your medical provider for a proper exam today or tomorrow and find out what is going on.
