Think I have oral herpes after making out... though also had oral sex...?

I'm not positive, though I believe I may have contracted oral herpes. I had made out with a girl I didn't know well. I started to get a sore throat later that week, little over 2 weeks later my lips got really dry, I felt fatigued, and my throat was still on and off sore (no strep or bact cultures present) I had a tiny little white bump on my lip and the sides of my lips were dried up and tingling. The little white bump is gone (as I picked it off) though there's still a slight sensation dry skin remaining there.

(now this all could all be completely unrelated, just my mind hyperfocusing, as well as allergies and just a pimple that I kept messing with,,)

I don't recall her having any open sores of any kind, though I do know she's had cold sores before.

The problem is she also gave me oral sex.... which really has me worrying. If I received oral herpes from this incident, I likely received genital herpes as well..?

27 yo male. This is stressing me out to no end... I feel like I'm going CRAZY.

well actually if you've never been tested for herpes before, you can get tested now to see your baseline status and go from there. You might already have hsv1 and never realized it.

if you were going to get obvious cold sores, they would've shown up by now. Typically they show up within 24 hours or so of the start of symptoms.

if things are all healed now, nothing you can do. should yo uget a return of symptoms, be seen by your provider.

No I have not been tested before. Though I also know that I can't exactly be tested for 3 months. (until antibodies show)

I have no open "sores" of sorts, yet I'm told they may not show up right away... I could just be freaking out... I have very high anxiety in general, I overthink quite a lot.

Then again, I'm still stressed out about it...

sounds more like chapped lips than oral herpes.

have you ever been tested for herpes before to know your own status?
