Skin to skin contact only?

I found out 2 years ago that my husband was hiring prostitutes. He admitted to having unprotected sex on multiple occasions. As a result, he contracted HSV-2, which has now become my cross to bear as well. He swears up and down that he is no longer cheating on me, so we are trying to work things out for the sake of our son. My question is this: whenever I get an itchy burning sore on my labia, it's always after he has had one as well on his penis. Does this mean that he had to be in contact with someone recently to have gotten his sore? Or do these sores surface on their own without contact after you have already been infected? Also, is there medication to treat this? Too embarrassed and ashamed to discuss this with my doctor...

did you both have full std testing done at least 3 months after he last had any other partners?

herpes will reoccur periodically for a lifetime.  There doesn't have to be new partners for new lesions to occur.

are either of you treating your herpes ? why have more recurrences than you have to?

I highly recommend reading the free herpes handbook at westover heights. just google it and it comes right up.

keep asking questions!!
