The doctor said it appears to be similar to a pimple, something with the hair follicle. She isn't concerned with it. It has gotten smaller but still lingers there. If its still there in a couple weeks, I'm too go back.
Thank you for your help.
Please follow up with your doctor. Let us know what they have to say.
Since friday, I'm noticing a small pimple like bump, about less than 2mm, developing on the very tip of my penis, it hasn't gotten much larger over the last couple days, and the slightly itch and sensitivity has gone away. I have an appointment on this friday for an STI check and to have the doctor look at it. But I have to tell you, it has really gotten me stressed out, I must have looked at it like 100 times in the last three days. No other bumps or anything else has developed as of yet, and I'm too affraid to touch it. As of today, its been 10 days since the incident. Stress is pretty high up there now though.
you'd have to have a culture and typing of your genital area. having hsv1 orally makes it very unlikely that you'd contract hsv1 genitally.
drink plenty of fluids to keep your urogenital tract well flushed and try to keep busy so you think less about this. If you still have symptoms midweek - be seen for some basic urine testing.
There was no manual stimulation prior to the oral sex at all. The only sexual contact we had was the very brief episode of oral sex. I'm trying to convince myself that it is anxiety, but since I already have facial herpes, how can a test determine the difference if I have contracted genital herpes?
you already have hsv1 orally so it's not likely you contracted hsv1 genitally from oral sex which is the main herpes risk from oral sex.
since this was a very brief oral encounter, probably just irritation going on. was there also a lot of manual stimulation prior to the oral sex?
