Test Results are so confusing....

Can someone help me with this information. The Dr's are clueless most of the time.

Possible exposure: September 09, 2010 (give or take a couple days)
First signs: September 20, 2010 (give or take a couple days)
First Test: October 20, 2010
Test Results: IGM .91 IGG Neg  (I don't know what test was given. They just said I had herpes)

I went back December 27, 2010, received another test and these are my results of the tests.  I wanted a type specific.

Herpes Simplex I and II AB, IGM 1.11 Positive (Range >1.09 is positive)
HSV-2 Glycoprotein G AB, IGG Negative <.91
HSV-1 Glycoprotein G AB, IGG Negative <.91
Herpes Simplex 1 and II AB, IGG Negative <.91

On all the IGG tests it states that no antibodies are detected for HSV I or II.

I got this test about 15 weeks post exposure.  Since the first episode, I have experienced what I think are OB, but I dont know.  No blisters.  Just a bump.  Now a rash with peeling.  Cortizone cream seems to be helping.

What do you think? Obviously no one can diagnose me on this forum, but your help today is much appreciated.  After I received the second test results, a nurse said I had herpes, then a DR said she was not an infection specialist and does not know.   I left feeling helpless and confused.

I am not getting typical OB, so it makes it even more confusing.

you've posted about this previously and have received answers previously. You don't have any new test results that are positive and as I've said previously, no reason to continue thinking herpes as a cause.

yes, oral sex can cause jock itch.  rashes, itching and peeling skin are symptoms of jock itch more than herpes. see your provider for a proper exam and treatment.

I understand, and thank you for your response.  I am afraid because everything was just fine until about 2 weeks after this encounter.  It was oral sex only.

I have had symptoms ever since that have never happened before this encounter. I am assuming that I cant get a fungal infection by one oral sex act, although fungus is contagious.

It has now been 10 days and the rash is peeling again.  No blisters, no pain. I know it can be atypical, but this seems a bit out of the ordinary.

I am very interested in what grace has to say about this.

I can't interpret your results.  Let grace take a look at that.  I will give you some general info though.

The test is after the 15 weeks.  Your symptoms don't sound like HSV more in line with a fungal infection.
