Test results

Hi Grace,

I had some weird symptoms I described in a previous post.
I had an HSV test in March, 30th and had the following results:

Igg:
HSV1 > 5
HSV2 Negative
Igm detected

I had another test performed on May, 10th and just got results:
Igg:
HSV1 positive (dont have the value yet)
HSV2 Negative (dont have the value yet)
Igm detected

1. Can I definitely rule out any HSV2 infection and totally dismiss the IGM test being positive?
2. Will the value of the Igg HSV2 result matter (for instance if the march results are < May result, does that mean that I am starting to create antibodies against HSV2?)

Thank you very much for your great help and all your work here!

Thank you Grace,
I guess my question was more about the difference between IGM AB TITER and IGM AB titer with reflex.
Anyway, Thank you for all your help and all your work.

Thank you Grace, Sorry, I did not succeed to edit my original post...so I can dismiss the IGM.
Any ideas how one of them can come back positive and the other one negative?

Thank you!

it's most helpful when you just keep adding to your original post instead of making new ones each time.

already told you in your previous post you had no reason to think herpes. your most recent test further confirms that once again
