Testing Of Herpes

I had unprotected oral sex performed on me. I dont have any symptoms of herpes in my genital area. I was just diagnosed with a fungal infectiom cause my genital area was itchy. I want to how long i have to wait to get a accurate herpes test. Is it three months or four months for a accurate test? Thank You!

Sorry, for being a pain in the butt. But im concern from this exposure and cant focus on my Career. I just would really deeply want to know from your stand point cause your a expert in this infection. By me describing you all these things to you do you think theres a possibility of me being infected with genital hsv1 or hsv2? If so how accurate will a nine week or ten week herpes select igg blood test be? Im asking cause im not going to be around for six months. I would really apperciate your help and you responds but this respond from you Grace would really really help me out and let me focus on my new career that i been presuding for my whole life. Thank you so much and hope to hear from you as soon as possible and thank you for your priceless time.

you had a proper diagnosis by the dermatologist. you have no reason to doubt it. your symptoms also sound classic for jock itch too.

Sorry to seem annoying to you Grace but i been to five doctors cause i thought i had caught genital herpes cause my pubic area and my sack have been itching me and they all said if you dont get any blisters with the two weeks to a month  that im bot infected with genital herpes. They all looked at my genital area and said its not herpes. I was finally diagnosed with a fungal infection which the dermatologist looked under a microscope to detect the fungus. So is it true if you dont show any sores/ lesions than you arent infected with it? They symptom i had was the itchiness.

not many folks who have hsv2, have it orally. Of those who do, it tends not to shed much at all so the odds of transmitting it from the oral area to the genital area are incredibly small.

I'd say 99% odds that you didn't contract hsv1 genitally from this.

is it 95% that i didnt contract cause i have oral hsv-1? So theres no chance of getting hsv2 cause its not active in oral area?

hsv1 is the biggest risk from receiving oral sex. since you already have hsv1, the odds that you've contract it genitally are incredibly low.

there' s no reason for any herpes testing from this encounter.

So i shouldnt worry about testing and that i didnt get infected from this exposure cause i dont show the classic symptoms. Also i read that if you have oral herpes that you wont get the hsv-1 genital herpes. is that true? Whats the chances of me catching hsv-2 from receiving oral sex. Does genital sex mean oral sex?

Do you plan on getting tested after every time you've received oral sex without any visible symptoms?, probably not...so I don't think you should bother getting tested if the only reason you're basing it on was the type of exposure you had.

Having said that, if you've had unprotected sex with multiple partners, getting tested routinely would be a good idea.

the clock starts ticking when you had sex, not when you had symptoms.

Should i get tested from the exposure i had but i dont show any symptoms. Just itchiness but its 7 weeks with itchiness but its cause of a fungal infection in the genital area. What you think Grace?

it's never 100%. we recommend waiting 3 months post encounter for testing to cover your bases. igg testing only.

of people who contract genital herpes;
2 weeks   ~ 50%
6 weeks   ~ 60-80%
12 weeks ~ 90 %

3 months ~95%

if you don't have any symptoms and your last exposure was oral sex (low risk), most medical experts would tell you not to test
