Herpes 1 & 2 Questions

1.)

In 2003 I was diagnosed with HSV 1 as I get cold sores on the bottom right of my lower lip.
In 2008 I performed oral on a girl I was seeing, a few days later my whole upper lip began to blister and crust over.

Could of I have been infected with another form of HSV-1 in a different location?

Or Could this have been HSV-2 now on my lip from performing oral?

2.)

with either HSV-1 or 2 on my lips am I able to pass this on to my girlfriend while performing oral on her? ( no visible out break. maybe from viral shedding)

And if that is the case, am I able to contract genital herpes from her from sexual contact months later?

No sorry,

I posted on the thigh pain, then read this as I too have hsv-1 cold sores.  Wanted to know as stated if I can.

I give my girlfriend oral and pass to her my HSV-1 to her genitals then later down the road we have sex if I can get infected with genital herpes.

I was tested when I had the upper lip break out. and tested negative for HSV2

Seeing if I give my girlfriend oral and pass to her my HSV-1 to her genitals then later down the road we have sex if I can get infected with genital herpes.

no way to know at this point what was going on on your lips then.

you won't get hsv1 "worse" from being with someone else with hsv1.

yes you can transmit hsv1 to your partner's genital area through oral sex. do you know her status?

have either of you been tested since you've been together to know your herpes status?
