I agree with you on antivirals and protected sex. This combo is really effective at rreducing the risk of passing hsv. Antivirals do a nice job of not only cuting down on outbreaks but reduces the rate the virus sheds as well. I do applaud her for her attitude towards this and applaud yours as well. Stand up guy!!! I wish you both the best!!
Many people asked what my test results were, so I went through a testing center (of course, through LabCore) Here they are:
HSV 2 IGG TYPE SPECIFIC
AB >5.00 H
Most people familiar with this report, know the interpretation - I have the anti-bodies, and have HSV2 or been Heavily exposed.

I'm in a relationship, where She is NEG (clean), and I am POS for HSV2
Previously, she didn't want to use protection, but she's suddenly softened on that fact; The other choice (and still not 100% safe, at all) is for me to go on AntiVirals.
We'll probably do a combination, of both.
So we're trying to be safe, but still be in a relationship.
Any Advice ??

It was from a blood test.
I don't know that it was a low positive - prev test:
HSV 2 IgG, Type Spec. 2.93 [ Positive > 1.09 ] gt +HSV2;
I can't remember how they did it - if this was urine or blood sample.
Many public clinics will only do swab on an open blister - I don't have that; can't say I ever have.
People are more apt to have low false positives for hsv2 when they have an existing hsv1 infection.
Squints is right on the money. Get retested with an igg test and see where your at. Do you have hsv1 (cold sores)?
Have you retested sense the initial positive igg? Everything I've seen says that's a pretty low positive, I've heard everything under 3.5 should be confirmed with a western blot, but I would definitely have another igg done
