a hsv2 igg of 1.1 is technically positive but odds are it's a false positive. if it was at least 3 months since the last time you had had sex with your ex, I wouldn't even bother repeating it to be honest. It's that high of a chance of being a false positive when it's 1.1

I'm just going to get tested again. I believe what the first doctor told me. My hsv 1 is high and my hsv 2 are low, so I'm not going to concern myself right now about it. Thank you for your help!
hsv 1 igg out of range 4.94 h
hsv 2 igg
1.10 positive. out of range 5.00
hsv 1 1/2 igg herpeselect....4.94 h
hsv 2 1/2 igg. 1.10 positive
Thanks
double check your results sheet to make sure you properly posted your hsv2 igg here. looking at what you posted again, I see you actually just posted the results range and not your hsv2 igg results.
I went to a new ob/gyn today and showed her and she made a copy of the results from my test. I have read on here that my test results numbers are negative all over this site. She told me I have been exposed to hsv 2 and that my test results showed positive, I didn't ask her anything else about it. I know it could be possible that with my hsv 1 being high the test wasn't able to tell the difference between either. These results have really tore me up mentually. Recently my boyfriend got a red mark on the shaft of his penis which he said burned a little, no blister or scabbing, but we did use a condom. I have spent so much money going to doctors to get some results without any success. This doctor today confused me more than ever,
Thank you so much! You just don't know how much!

it's ok, didn't need the ranges for results. I'm quite familiar wtih the test you had done.
as long as your test was done at least 3 months after the last time you had sex with your ex you can trust your negative hsv2 results.
keep asking questions as you have them :)

I recently divorced and found out my ex was having affairs with several women. I have been dating but have not had sex yet because I wanted to get tested and be for sure. i was so confused after picking up my results, because the nurse talked with me on the phone about my results. Thank you soooo much for responding to my question, So is that what it means I am negative for hsv 2??? I forgot to put <0.90 negative. Thank you AGAIN!
http://www.ashastd.org/herpes/herpes_learn_oralherpes.cfm is a terrific link for more info on hsv1 orally.
yes, herpes stays with you forever. You are + for hsv1 and as you were already told, odds are it is oral. Your hsv2 is negative. What caused you to get tested?
