Unclear situation

Good day doctor,
I had a possible exposure explained in my question described in hiv forume. I am sorry to guide there but the number of words is limited in these questions.
I am having some pimple on my back and i went to skin doctor and she said it is folliculites. I went to another doctor (infectous disease doctor) and he confirmed it is folliculites. The problem is that these pimbles comes and go periodically. And i have read that one of the causes of folliculites is viral which is herpes.
When i count these pimbles it is more than twinty distributed on my back and my leg (THIGH).
Now i am having cold sores on my mouth plus folliculites in the areas i described. I had something like a fever two weeks ago and the doctor says that the cold sores is because of it.
My infectous disease doctor completely rolls out the possibility of this being genital herpes as he depends on the following blood test that was done after 3 months from my first exposure and two and a half months from the second

Igg hsv 1&2    Positive
Igm hsv 1&2.   Negative.
Plus combo hiv test negative.

I want to take your attention that i had a huge number of exposures in the last six years but only the last two made me worried. The last two exposures are the last.
My doubts is the igg test doesn,t distinguish between hsv 1&2 so it gives possitive if i have one of them or both. And i read that the igm test is not accurate especially that doesn't catch reocurrences.
Please not doctor that i had after the exposures two tiny pimbles on my penis that the infectouse disease doctor said its kind of follicule and its nothing to be worried about. Are all of these just coinsidence or herpes possibility is not rulled out so far. And what should i do?
I have been thinking for the last six months.
Sorry if my language is not.
Thanks,

You don't need to worry about false negative, only false positives with type specific antibody testing, as far as cross reaction is concerned.

Thanks for your reply doctor.

Can you please clarify your point. I did not really get it.

And please giving that i don't have any more anything on my penis, does this indicate strongly that i don't gave genital herpes

I don't think your doctor is familiar with the type specific testing, or as familiar as one might like.  Very rarely there is cross reaction, but that pertains to positives for type 2 in the person that has HSV 1, primarily.  If you are positive for HSV 1 but negative for HSV 2, this aspect of the testing need not be a factor for you, do you see what I mean?

By they way these pimles never came back on penis or anus. What i have now is the pimples that doctor says it is folliculites located as described above.

About the type specific test the doctor told that the types crossreact so a type specific is sometime inaccurate.

About the pimples they were painless and very small and located at the beginning of the penis near the balls. The doctor says that it has nothing to do with herpes.

Thanks for your reply doctor

No, you posted correctly.
You do need a test that distinguishes accurately between HSV 1 and HSV 2 to reassure yourself.

From your physical description, this sounds nothing like how herpes presents on the human body.  The only thing that gives me any concern is the pimples on your penis, which I can't really interpret, based on your description.

Is there a chance you could get a type specific IgG test?  Ignore the IgM testing.
