I am 27 y male. one week back I had received an oral sex from a prostitute, with out condom or any protection. It was about 30 minutes. after 1-2 days I got mild muscle pain, body pain and mild fever and after 2-3 days, and I felt mild burning sensation on my penis. there is no visible sores or discharge yet. No I am very much tensed about this. I have checked in websites about the risk of getting oral sex, most sites are telling more chances of getting herpes and its not curable. what are the notable symptoms of herpes. please advise me...

I am so sorry to hear about all the stuff you all are experiencing. Evidently, GHSV2 typically resides in the sacral ganglia - and thus affects the connected nerves/skin (Post Herpetic Neuralgia as a result of genital herpes)

unless you have obvious lesions, no reason to think this is genital herpes.

have you been seen yet and had some basic urine testing done?

we recommend protected sexual contact because it works - unless it's a regular long term partner whose status you are aware of, you should only give and receive protected oral sex. protects you as well as saves you from testing frequently and worrying :)
