white substance in urethra once, no pain in urination

hi, i am 26 had been in a 5 year relationship which ended. Now i have been having protected sex with a new girl for about a month now. The first time we had sex was pretty vigorous and the condom broke once. The next day after the first time we had sex i had a burning sensation in my pubic area and some muscle pain. After the condition stuck around for a week or so, i went to the doctor to get an STD test... all came back negative. I asked the doctor if i had any symptoms of herpes, and she said no... probably jock itch. The problem seemed to go away until about 2 weeks ago when i experienced pain after urinating. When i got home i noticed there was some 'powdery white substance' in the tip of my urethra. I cleaned it out throughly and it hasnt came back since. I have had no pain during urination since, except i do have slight, but seemingly constant irritation in my urethra (which seems to subside when i urinate). Ive been obsessively checking the inside of my penis and have not noticed any more of the white substance, one area (along the base of my urethra) is a little red, nothing that really looks like a lesion or sore. And no open sores or puss filled bumps on my genitals

Im very nervous that i might have herpes or some other STD after all and the burning around my public area seems to come back everytime i start worrying about it. My partner says i have nothing to worry about and she had sex with only one person in 3 years before me.

Should i be nervous?  Could this be something else? I dont have health insurance and would like to avoid another trip to the free clinc.

Hi, I took your advise and went to see a physician. She checked me out and said that what i was experiencing definitely was not herpes related. She side it was most likely bacteria which i received from my partner and prescribed me a week's supply of the anti-biotic DOXYCYCL. This seemed to take care of the irritation in my urethra, but i was still feeling irritation and burning in my pubic area and on the left side of the base of my penis. I went again for a check up and a different physician gave me another week's supply of a stronger anti-biotic called CIPROFLOXACN as well as CLOTRIMAZOLE cream for my "jock itch" (which she thinks i have). Its been about a week since she prescribe me this last set of meds... but still im feeling the burning and irrigation around my pubic area. It come about especially towards the end of the work day and after ive been sitting awhile. When i dont feel this sensation i sometimes have muscle aches in my legs and butt( which i know are symptomatic of herpes). My skin seems a little discolored but i have not bumps or sores to note.

My partner said she got check out and has no symptoms of any kind... cleared from bacteria and yeast infections

Im not sure whats going on...

Could i be allergic to condoms?( i switched to a non-latex condom, still having issues)

Could this be symptoms dormant herpes virus?

Could this be stress? The pain feels very real.. comes about stronger when im stress

I have a feeling this isnt jock itch

What should i ask my doctor when i she her in 2 weeks?

Im still very nervous

Thanks for all your advice,

most of your std testing was done too early. only gonorrhea and chlamydia are accurate 1 week post encounter.

odds are your partner has never been tested for herpes. discuss when her last std testing was done and if she knows what was tested for.

Your symptoms do not sound herpes related. if they continue, going to the clinic to be seen again is the best course of action.  More urine testing might be helpful as well as a prostate exam.
