I have hsv I&II, I know everyone's outbreaks are different. I've nev had an outbreak at least not to my knowledge. lately I have been getting these bumps on my face and neck. When it comes to pain, most common is with genital and sores tend to break out in the same spot give or take an inch. What your describing donot appear herpes related.

I also thought if the virus has been in your system for sometime it only comes back in the same area

Thx for the response. Is an outbreak in these areas painful? I ask because they itch every now and then. Also are they always small sores? Sorry for being so ignorant about this but have questions, I always thought they sore were suppose to be painful and big bilstery types.

Hi, the nose area is a place that outbreaks do occur and anywhere from the breast up would be in the ganglion zone as well. If you want to confirm  these are herpes outbreaks then have them swabbed today otherwise saying they are or saying there not would not be conclusive. But to answer your question, yes outbreaks do occur in the areas you mention.
