What is it?

In october 2009 I was shave completely using clippers in my pelvic area. I had unprtoected sex with my boyfrined (who I later found was unfaithful) and about 3 days later I got really sick, with flu like symptoms, very weak, swollen glands in pelvis, heavy watery vaginal discharge, and when I went to the ER they were convinced I had some sort of STD. The doc mentioned my CD4 count was normal, and I was given drugs to treat every possible STD (chlamydia, gon, trich, syph, etc). When I went back for a check up the next week I felt much better, but 1 gland in groin was still swollen and I had flesh colored bumps in vaginal area and itchy anus. Doc thought it was HSV2, and swabbed the bumps but it came back negative. A few weeks later I had a dark rash on my inner thigh (non itchy and not painful) that lasted for about a month or so. A month later I had an eruption on my right labia of a cluster of bumps. Since then, I have had nothing...maybe a numbness in my leg, but that's about it. What was this HSV2, HIV?????

you need testing. you've had no testing at all for herpes with all of this so get tested to know your status for once and for all.

they were solid, the bumps were never open sores, not even the eruption I saw

I was tested for gonorrhea, chlamydia, and trich, and my CD4 count was taken. 2 months later I tested for syphallis and HIV (negative)

it's been a year, following up on this with a type specific herpes igg blood test is the best course of action so you can be sure of your status and move past this.

you need to have a blood test for HSV. when he swabbed the bump was it solid or was it an open sore? if solid skin he didn't swab it right as a fluid would need to be present for an accurate swab... ie an open herpes sore. you should be able to test for HSV and HIV and receive adequate results if its been that long since you've had any sexual partners.

They didn't test you for any STDs while at the ER? they only treated you for what they didn't know yet?? just checking. I would jut get a full STD panel.
