What is the possibilty that I have it

Hi,

I m 27 year old male... I have had this recent sexual encounter with a transgendered woman, where we kissed for a few minutes and then she gave me a BJ and that was all about it.
After 2 days I feel the need to urinate more often (than i regularly used to) with a very slight burning sensation. I also felt that I have tiny red dots (few) on my penis head (un-noticeable to eye), but if looked on very closely could be seen. Also I havent felt any other symptoms like flu, fever, backache, blisters or sores. She had no visible sores on her mouth and said she is clean (which I m not sure of)

Now my question is :
1) What are the odds of me getting a genital herpes (HSV2)?
2) if its not that, then what else could it be?
3) How long should I wait to get myself screened to get a definite answer?

Any help in this regard would be really appreciated as I m highly scared and tensed.

Thanks,
Mike

Well, frequency and urgency are not signs of herpes to start with, but they could signs of another STD.  Rarely are STDs transferred via oral sex but it happens sometimes.  Were you ever tested for other STDs?

Thank you Nurse Warren. I will get the tests done in 4 months time, however the frequent urination with burning sensation has subsided. I dont feel the need to urinate that often anymore. Does this indicate something?

This is so odd = I answered your post but the response isn't here.  I'll answer again.

The odds of getting HSV 2 from oral sex only without any genital to genital rubbing is very close to zero.  You could certainly get HSV 1 from receiving oral sex, however.  Usually, however, it would not present as a series of very tiny red dots.  Whenever people tell me they have to look very closely or use a magnifying glass to see the lesions, I suspect it is NOT herpes.  This could be a bacterial or fungal infection, I suppose.

I would wait 4 months from the sexual encounter to get antibody tested (IgG only) for herpes.  That should be enough time to wait for other STD tests as well.

I forgot to mention that I had this encounter on Wednesday 07/28 and I felt the symptoms I mentioned since Friday evening. Also I dont feel any itch or tingle or burning sensation on the area where I noticed these tiny dots.
