Herpes outbreak

So I think I'm having an outbreak. Over about the last month I've had all kinds of symptoms from pain, burning, itching etc. (even pain in the right leg) Over the past 4-5 days I've had burning on the right side of my penis...this has been on and off, sometimes where it becomes somewhat painful....of course I check the area quite often...especially when I feel it flaring up...but I'm just now noticing what looks to me like a VERY small reddish lesion (where it just looks like a small volcano), no puss or liquid or anything, and a couple other reddish areas around it (rash-like)...but this is ONLY when maybe a minute of masterbation has taken place.....if it's flacid and I look at the area I absolutely can't tell there's anything there (even when I stretch the skin out)...I noticed this reddish lesion only because I used a magnifying glass (only after the slight masterbation that is.) this is how I noticed it's volcano like structure. So the burning is there on and off and of course sometimes it can be really annoying. Is there anything I can do to put on this area to confirm that this is an outbreak site? like peroxide or something that would bubble in that area without making it hurt? besides going to my doctor....I KNOW he won't even notice what I'm talking about...my doctors have always said that basically if there's no "sac-like lesions" then it isn't herpes and not to worry about it. Thanks much for any advice...also, is there something I can put on there to relieve the burning?

I wouldn't apply otc topical steroid creams to the area either without the advice of a medical provider.  Our genital areas can be very sensitive and sometimes it just makes a problem even worse when you use topical steroid creams there.  Same goes with peroxide - it's actually non-chlorine bleach - be kind to your bits!!!

If you have to look this hard to find symptoms and you are only seeing them after masturbation - then you are spending WAY too much time obsessing over your genital area.  Be sure to use a good lube when masturbating and limit yourself to a basic examination of your genital area only 1x/day after you shower for your own sanity.

If you really know you won't move past this until you have been tested then follow up with a type specific herpes igg blood test in 3 or 4 months.  Should you see an obvious lesion before then ( that lasts for at least 24 hours before you go to be seen ) then follow up with a lesion culture and typing of it.  Should your pain continue - follow up on it from a non-herpes standpoint.

This Yokel will tell you right now it's not herpes. In order for herpes to be the culprit, it has to follow SOME guidelines. If there is a hint this is herpes I haven't heard it yet.

Don't put peroxide on your naughty bits. Jesus. Two things you should do: get tested 3 or 4 weeks out from the sex episode if you are still freaking out at that point, and use a spellchecker!!

These symptoms are too vague for a bunch of Internet yokels to nail down for you. Sorry.

Herpes does NOT take a magnifying glass to see, haha. Sounds like it could be fungal. Get some Cortizone 1% and let it go.
