Wondering if herpes

I had protected vaginal and oral sex with CSW 5 weeks no symptoms of herpes other than my foreskin was a little red and dry no bumps or ulcers, pain or itching it went away within two days after applying lotion.  I am 43 and would like to know if this sounds like herpes or it's just irritation?? I understand I had a very low risk.
I appreciate you helping and for the help in the STD. forum.
All the best

if you go to the top of the page and click on the my med help button, you can go to your profile and edit your gender there.

we recommend protected sexual contact because it works!  protected oral sex is no risk at all. protected genital sex is very low risk in general. you can still contract syphilis, hpv or herpes from it but the risk of those are incredibly low, especially from a one time encounter.

is it really worth testing after this? No it is not unless you just need the peace of mind. don't confuse the guilt from the encounter as being a real risk though. make sense?
