ever changing symptoms, could this be herpes

So I guess it's best to give the full story...

3 1/2 weeks ago I foolishly had unprotected sex with a girl I met at a bar. Vaginal and very briefly oral. The next day I started having initial symptoms. I had a full ache in my left testicle and chapped lips/dry mouth. after six days I went to the clinic to get checked out. I had previously injured my right hip running to the point where it was difficult to walk. The dr thought the pain was likely from that injury, but I asked him to check for stds. At the time I was unaware that this was probably too early. He took some blood and then gave me a shot/pill of antibiotics in case I had clamydia/gonorrhea and within days the pain went away. About a week later the tests came back negative except for hsv 1 igg positive. I expected this as I had a cold sore as a kid. The stress of this paired with a job change caused me to start smoking again and I felt a sore throats coming on before I had any other symptoms.

Shortly after my face dried out and around my eyes burned. My penis then began to feel very dry and slightly itchy. This culminated in some minor swelling and (not sure how to describe this) some new creases in the skin. The skin was never broken but did feel very irritated. I now also had a full on sore throat as well so I went back to the clinic but to a different doctor who took a look and thought it was fungal. She prescribed some creme and it was instantly helpful. I did follow up with my PCP to see what she thought, which was there was nothing there. After a few days of treatment the discomfort mostly stopped but I did develop a single red dot on the underside of my penis, low towards the base. This faded after 24 hrs and was gone in 48, it never blistered, never became a sore, never crusted. Simply vanished. My lower back also tightened like I had hurt it at the gym or slept wrong.

After a full week of antifungal I felt relatively normal skin wise, maybe slightly irritated but nothing I would have gone to the dr for. I did redevelop the pain in my hip but it seemes to have expanded to both hips. It sometimes feels like my testicles are swollen. Sometimes there is discomfort in my lower abdomen. My back pain is better but not gone. Seems to radiate down to my upper buttocks.

So this is my current nightmare. I do notice that I am ultra sensitive to anything feeling out of place, I also recognize that I've been obsessive about what is potentially wrong. I need to sleep, but I don't know what to think here. I never had a classic outbreak, and my symptoms seem to rotate. The more I think about things the worse they feel. I guess in summary I am wondering if anyone has any thoughts, if I have any real worries here, or if everything is in my head? Any similar experiences or expertise to advise?

Thanks in advance

I agree as this is clearly not symptoms of hsv. Or any std really.

You had balantis from taking antibiotics, same thing happened to me. Because you had unprotected sex with a person with unknown status you should get tested. Your symptoms match balantis not herpes
