I found out I was exposed to HSV-2 by my partner who had a recent outbreak.
I went to my Dr. and was given a blood test, I was ONLY given and igm which came out positive, but not an igg. I've read a lot that says the igm is not necessarily trustworthy, should I go back and request an igg? also, would it be worthwhile requesting a biokit or WB to validate? it's worthy to note I have had no signs or symptoms and it's been at least 2 weeks since exposure, also when I called to discuss the results the nurse who talked to me told me that she's never heard of an igm being wrong and then refused to explain the scale to me? I'm so confused and I just want to know ACTUAL answers.
