So I went to an Urgent Care for the "bladder" pain...he did a blood test and said everythings fine, no infection and suggested it might be my uterus or cervix but I'd need to see a GYN doctor. Good news is what ever was wrong fixed itself...atleast the pain part. I go to the GYN Friday.
QUESTION: genital herpes can't be transferred to other parts of the body right?
do not use leftover cream from a bacterial infection. you have no idea what is going on so you need to go and be seen and get a proper work up done to see what is going on.

NEW SYMPTOMS!!! Ok- I've been taking Valtrex for 6 days and the original issue is all gone, (lesions that felt like paper cuts) but now....
#1- I'm having lower abdomen pain; I thought maybe a bladder infection...its definitely not my stomach, kidneys or ovaries because its centered and very low.
#2- It also hurts when I sit down; not a sharp pain and not on the outside. Its like the pressure when I sit pushes whatever is hurting on the inside. I've had this before and it comes and goes but never with the lower abdomenal pain. It could be my colon I guess, something in my intestines? I've always had IBS but again, never this abdomen pain.
#3- I noticed today little red spots on my clit and it itches a little- infection? I have some cream for bacterial infection left over from an old perscription so I'm going to put that on it to see if it clears up- if it doesn't, then it's probably herpes?
#4- I've had a discharge since I started the Valtrex...I don't think it was there when I went to the doctors last week. No odor and the color is between the color of cum and clear. Not alot, its more like lubricant I've never had, lol.
I am sharing every little embarrassing detail with total strangers because there is no one else in my life I would ever share this with!
I think I might call the doctor tomorrow if the pain doesn't go away, this is crazy!
herpes lesions typically do not look like blisters.
you both need to check to see if you are actually getting tested for herpes yearly. typically it is not a part of routine std testing.
also if this is by chance hsv1 genitally, not having obvious recurrences for 10 years is not unusual at all either.
How could this be recurring Herpes? If you think the time I mentioned when I was tested and it came back negative was wrong, that was 10 years ago and I've never had any symptoms since. I get yeast infections frequently with my mentrual cycle..a few times bad enough to cause lesions. If you're thinking its herpes and I don't know it, I get tested yearly. My son's father does too but he is a ***** so he had sex after he was tested and before he was with me. HOW COMMON IS A HERPES BREAKOUT WITHOUT BLISTERS OR BUMPS?
these would be recurrences of genital herpes for you most likely so they do indeed heal much faster.
it's unfortunate that your provider never followed up on your original negative testing with proper testing. at this point I recommend that you and your partner both seek out type specific herpes igg blood tests next week to see who has what. Once you have those results, I can help you figure out where to go next.

impatientpatient ignore the last post it is a spam message.
To answer your question they do clear up on their own. The time frame does vary person to person. Going a way in 2 days is not typically HSV. If you both are actively testing for HSV each year and being tested with an IgG test then you chances are don't have HSV but have something else going on. If your sons father was tested recently and you were the only partner he had in 12 weeks then you know HSV isn't the cause.
Does Herpes lesions clear up quickly on their own? I used a 3 day treatment to clear the yeast infection, the 4th day I was in pain from the lesions and I went to the doctor the next afternoon. I was already feeling much better and I believe the lesions would have continued to heal fast even without the Valtrex the doctor prescribed. Does Herpes come and go in a few days? I know I sound desparate but why wouldn't I be...this is stressful and kind of scary.
About 10 years ago I had a bad yeast infection and went to the doctor who told me it was Herpes but then the test results came back negative. I've never had blisters, not even now...just lesions and two swollen areas at the bottom opening. However, this time I've been urinating frequently...doc says thats a symptom of Herpes but I googled it and its also a symptom of a yeast infection. I hadn't had sex for 6 months but then my son's father came into town and we hooked up once. The very next day I was diagnosed with Bronchitis and started the steroid and anitbiotic for a week, then got my period and the yeast infection which cleared up but left the lesions. So it's been 2 weeks from the time I had sex to the time I went to the doctor and got the possible diagnosis of Herpes. My son's father says he's never had any symptoms of Herpes...we both get tested atleast yearly. I'm so upset with myself, I should've known better.
it's not unusual to have more than 1 thing going on at a time genitally. steroids are known to cause recurrences of genital herpes. antibiotics and steroids are known to cause vaginal yeast infections.
have you ever been tested for herpes before?
has your partner?
when did you last have sex/oral sex prior to this?
