Herpes?

About 12 days ago I had unprotected sex and now I'm worried I might have caught something. I have been to the doctor about a week after and did some blood test and a swab test because I did have some clear discharge. The doc gave me doxycycline and I know thee blood test are to soon but my question is that I have been feeling tingling from my testicles to my  butt sometimes and my thighs some times I feel like is burning but it doesn't hurt. I also have select my mouth get hot and lips but I did not preform orl. Now my leg twitches and I feel muscle spasms and the head of my penis hurts from time to time. So can some one say if this is the start of herpes? If so when will the sores appear cause I have not yet have any pop up yet

Thanks bigtime. So you never were diagnosed with herpes? And do you have an idea of what the twitching tingling and pricks could be? It's just every time a new feeling hits it freaks me out haha and waiting till week 12 is gonna suck but I have a bad habbit of over think stuff so maybe it's just me and my stress

Yes, I felt the same prickly feeling and still sometimes do. However, this at this point tends to make me believe it is not herpes. My blood is still showing very low negative antibodies. Not everything is herpes man I promise. I'm living proof.

Retest at 12 weeks and put HSV out of your mind.

It doesn't really work that way, you are infected within hours or not at all.

No I haven't it was a one time thing and I wanted to talk to her about it, I just don't know how to bring it up. It's just from what I read online I feel like the virus is just working it's way to my body. I've kinda been OCD about it and notice every little thing I guess.

I think it is very unlikely that you contracted herpes from this episode. It is up to you as to how much comfort you require. Have you spoken to the partner about possible infection?

Thanks for your comment. So could this still be herpes? All my test came back negative as figured but I'm still feeling the tingling (only when I'm sitting down) and I also feel pricks at different spots of my body like legs lips arm foot and other random places. The discharge seems to be going away but is it from the doxycycline I've been taking? It just I had the swab test done and that came back negative.

Herpes does not generally cause finger or foot tingling. If you have t had an outbreak by now then you probably won't. Follow up with 12 week testing if you have concerns.

Thanks for your post. Did you also feel like lil pricks around your body? And just today I've been feeling like my finger was asleep and my foot? Idk I just feel like I have it and I'm driving myself crazy waiting for the outbreak

It's clearly too soon to test for herpes...but if it is any consolation, I had the exact same symptoms which actually got worse through 16 weeks and have still tested negative for herpes 1 and 2. Short answer: this could or could not be a sign of a herpes infection.

Now my legs just twitch and spasm from time to time. Please test at 12 weeks for conclusive results from this encounter. If any sores pop up please have them swab to know for sure. I also had sores but they were swabbed negative. Keep this mind. Not everything means herpes.

Good luck.
