Yes or no to herpes?

I tested negative for hsv-2 at 6 weeks after my last sexual encounter. I got painful vaginal lumps, so I went to the gynecologist at 8 weeks post exposure, she examined my lumps and said they were normal lumps women get. She examined my cervix and said there's a yeast infection, but no STD. She prescribed canestan, metronidazole, and two other meds( she wrote them pretty weird) I think one is binozyt and the other is sporanox. I haven't purchased them yet as I haven't got the money(broke college student).

It's been a week and a half and my yeast infection for a little better, then worse. I applied canestan cream which improved my yeast, but now I seem to have developed bumps/redness/rash to the left of my clitoris down to my labia minora(not on the lips, on the flat area). They don't itch, or hurt. But that spot did itch every now and then before they showed up.

Could 6 weeks be too early to be tested for herpes type 2?

Thank you for your help.

My partner and I are long distance, and he will be getting a blood test done soon. So that should provide some clarity as well.

Again, thank you.

But probably an oral HSV1 infection which reduces enormously any chance of HSV1 genitally. The oral cold sore is not relevant to genital issues.

There seems little chance you have genital herpes but need a final test to be sure at 16 weeks given you may have HSV1 already.

I got the cold sore on my lip. I got two little bumps. So I guess no, not a single lesion.

Where did you get a cold sore? Was it just a single lesion?

I just got a cold sore. Which I had gotten last year for the first time, so that really wasnt a biggie.

Before this I was taking metronidazole, doxycyline and canestan inserts for chlamydia (from feb 20-27) I took my hsv2 test on the 27th of feb and went to see the gyne on march 11.

My last sex encounter was on January 15.

Does this help? I'm very confused. The rash or whatever doesn't hurt, but..I can feel it's presence. If you understand what I mean.

Well its a very good guide, over 70% of infected people will test positive by that time. To be sure you need to repeat at 12 weeks.

However your doc doesn't think there's herpes to be concerned about so chances seem very low.

Did anything happen in the 2-10 days post the sexual encounter? If not then this adds to the suggestion of no infection from that encounter.
