HSV2

So I had a complete std screening and it all came back negative which I was happy about! Then the doctor called me several days later and explained they retested the hsv-2 and it came back positive.  Should I find out the numbers of the test?  I am also pregnant and have pregnancy anemia and my immune system has been super low - Should I ask for a re-test at my next appt.

Definitely retest asap because if you have HSV 2 you can transmitt it to your baby at birth and it can cause serious effects on the baby.  If you have HSV 2 you can start taking medication to lower your risk of having an outbreak before or during childbirth.  Best of luck to you.

If you are pregnant be careful
just be in consultation with your doctor
doctors know the subject better than you and me
