cold sores always hurt?

hello:

a girl i kissed had a couple of pimple like lesions under her lip, not on her lip. they were red and very obvious, but they didnt hurt at all. i am sure because she touched them pretty roughly. she told me that she tried to pop them but nothing happened. i supose it wasnt a cold sore because it was painfuless, and if the lesions was evident i supose that it in the case of a cold sore it should hurt. I am worried because she gave me unprotected oral sex and kissed her. We had protected intercourse. This was 10 days ago and i dont have any symptoms.

I am being an hypocondiac? should i stop being worried.

in case it was a cold sore, statistically how bad was my risk?
