no you didn't transmit it to your genitals that way. you have significant protection against contracting hsv1 on other body parts.
it's important for your partner to know their herpes status. you can't make educated decisions about precautions until you know who has what. Since over 90% of folks who have hsv2 have no idea they have it until tested, your partner getting tested is as much about protecting yourself as protecting them.
Thanks so much. I'm not sure his status. He has not shown any signs or symptoms though. Another question.. sorry if this is the same concept, I just really need some peace of mind :).. not to get graphic but he also took my hand, put it in my mouth, and then made me touch myself.. Is this the same concept or could I hve spread it to my genitals in that way?
