concerned about pregnancy and herpes

My husband & I have been trying to get pregnant. I'm not sure if my husband has herpes. He has had an outbreak on the corner of his lip come out a few months ago and another time that I remember about a year ago on his mouth. The doctor that he saw said it's most likely herpes, that was without doing any kind of testing on him, because he said it's already a scab so it might not show herpes if he has his blood drawn. Since he gets herpes on his mouth (but I have not gotten it yet), can he still give me herpes when we have oral sex even if he doesn't have an outbreak at the time?  So far, I haven't had any kind of outbreaks anywhere. Should I be worried, if / when I get pregnant - can anything be transmitted to the baby or would I have to have a c-section so that the baby would not get infected?

How likely is it to transmit genital herpes if the last outbreak was years ago and a condom was used during sex, but there was contact between my vagina and my partners hands.

IF your husband has Oral HSV1 and you contract it Genitally via Oral Sex care would have to be taken if you got pregnant as HSV can be transmitted to the baby during childbirth and this is quite dangerous to a newborn .....
You should both get tested to see where you're both at before you get pregnant after which you can take the appropriate steps to ensure safe delivery of your baby by informing your Pregnancy Care Team who will mointor you throughout and if by any chance an outbreak were to happen then a C-Section would be performed .....
