I hear from doctors that is hasn't been proven, but it seems there is a general consensus among herpes sufferers that diet seems to have a clear affect on their comfort, and a lot of people seem to find great relief in lysine.
I spoke with Terri Warren on the phone a while back and she more or less confirmed that people with herpes do seem to have these reactions to food, although, little research has ever been done on it.
So assuming that it is untrue, what else could affect the genital region and react to coffee and alcohol? As I've tested negative, I'd like to know what else is left to pursue. Seems odd that a bacterial / fungal infection would respond that way, and I've seen no evidence of any one with a similar malady other than herpes having these issues.
I have no visable symptoms at the moment. So when I try to follow up with my doctor, he simply says that since he sees nothing, he can't make a diagnosis, and that it could be herpes and I should just try to accept that I might have it and go about my life, and that its so common you don't even really need to tell anyone, which seems highly reckless to me.
the lysine/arginine theory and herpes was disproven over 20 years ago. not everything you read online is true.
follow up with your provider as needed for symptoms.
I've heard of people having herpes, and having prodrome type symptoms that last for long periods of time with no outbreaks. The cdc also says that people might have such minor symptoms that they dont know they are having outbreaks. Is it possible that I am having lots of small outbreaks? Does such a thing exist?
I've noticed that, since my encounter, drinking coffee seems to cause the tingling to flare up. I get very uncomfortable after I have coffee. This was never the case before. I drank it daily with no issue. I've heard that people with herpes claim that foods with argnine can cause outbreaks. Is there any other kind of bacterial / fungal condition that I could have that could be affected by my diet like this?!
since you had a rash, wait and repeat your herpes igg blood testing at the 4 month mark just to err on the side of caution.
would you have symptoms of herpes non-stop like this? no you would not.
Yes. Started to have tingling genitals, and got a rash. Went to the doctor, he said it didn't look like herpes, but me on anti-virals anyway. Since then, I"ve had constant tingling, pinching feelings in genitals, pains in legs. Seems pretty much in line with classic symptoms. I've also been on antibiotics and anti fungals that have had no affect.
Is it possible that the antivirals somehow kept it from going full blown so its manifesting slower than usual?
What are the odds that someone could be positive and test negative at 8 weeks?
have you had any symptoms?
