it's always in you and your partner's best interest to ask partners to get full std testing done prior to being intimate. make sure herpes is a part of their testing too because you can still contract hsv2 genitally so it's as much about protecting yourself as it is making educated decisions with a partner about what precautions to take.
sounds like your ex partner is panicking instead of waiting to find out what is going on?
no he won't have had them back yet.meant to write HSV (not hpv!) ..........he's convinced that him getting this is a 'sign' that things were not 'meant to be' .Just can't believe this is happening to me. not sure if he was ever tested.....never asked! i'm just amazed that he could be symptomatic so soon. This was my first 'proper' relationship since my husband died. ifeel terrible.
many things can cause 40+ lesions - yeast and molluscum as well as bacterial infections.
did he get any test results back yet?
hpv is a different infection than herpes.
could you have had a yeast infection and it triggered shedding of your hsv1 genital infection? yes it could've. had your partner been tested for herpes prior to becoming intimate with you?
what's a full work up grace?
he was going for a vasectomy appt and they've taken a swab. i never mentioned i'd previously had hsv type 1 as it was 9 yrs ago.what else would cause 40 + spots on his penis? and feeling unwell? results not back yet.I had a swab taken which showed candida-but i suppose i could have had a recurrence of hpv 1 also??
no std presents with symptoms 24 hours later.
did your partner pursue a full work up for his symptoms?
