did i inadvertently expose my 6 month old to herpes

I had an outbreak of genital herpes and thought it was completely cleared up before having sex with my partner. I had taken acyclovir 400mg once a day for a week. I had some left over from my pregnancy.  We had sex and I was sore afterwards so I used aquaphor on my genitals. 2 days later I felt the symptoms of an outbreak again so I'm assuming it wasn't actually cleared up. I'm very OCD about germs so I'm almost positive I washed my hands before I used the aquaphor and after, before putting the lid back on. But....now I'm freaking out because that same aquaphor was used on my 6 month olds face the next day. So.... let's go worst case scenario. I touched an open herpes lesion and put my contaminated hand back in aquaphor jar, and then it was used on my babies face the next day. Please tell me if this could transfer herpes to his face? He scratches himself with his fingernails plus it could have touched his lips, nose, eyes. I'm so sick over this. I was tired the night this occurred I just can't remember exactly what I did. I can only assume that because of my germ phobia I didn't contaminate the aquaphor. But I need to know the worst case scenario on this, and if I should tell his pediatrician, is there anything I can do?  HELP

I don't know what that is, but no matter , you would not infect your baby n this. No. No chance. By the way that dose is really not adequate for treating herpes outbreaks or for suppression.

We r out of the country on vacation so my response will be short and to the point

Ok.  My answer still stands.  I understand that moms worry I have three children, but you have not put your baby at risk.  We r actually on our way to the international std research meeting in Vienna so not all play.

Aquaphor is like Vaseline if that's what your referring to not knowing what it is. Is there still no way I infected my baby?  Have a wonderful vacation.
