Concerned about GHSV

I've suspected I've had GHSV for years after having unprotected sex with someone I later suspected of having GHSV. We had sex multiple times, about 8 years ago. I once had a rash that the doctor thought was a reaction to the Nuva-Ring, and had a culture done on a bump that came back negative. I was turned down for the blood test because I already get cold sores. I believe I have had the prodromal symptoms on numerous occasions and they have all gone away on their own.
About 3 months ago I thought I was having the prodromal symptoms again and they went away in about a week. Then a month ago they came back. Both times they were right before my period. This time, though, I had a cold sore on my face, my first in years. After a week of the burning, itching and tingling, I went to the doctor determined to get the blood test. She saw no signs of HSV but did take the blood test and a culture for yeast. She gave me a prescription for yeast.
After 3 days on the yeast medication, the burning, itching and tingling was mostly gone but 3 bumps appeared. One on my  side butt/thigh, one on my lower back and one on the left side of my labia. More on my leg than labia. After that more bumps appeared mostly on my legs. Nothing looked like HSV. The bumps on my legs were itchy but went away after some lotion. There is still some burning in the vaginal/anal region.
The test was an IGG type specific done by Quest. The results are as follows: HSV type 1 >5.0 which they said was positive. The HSV type 2 was 0.04 (1.10=Positive)
I'm confused. I was convinced I have GHSV. Could the high number of HSV1 be seen as GHSV1 as unlikely as that is? Also, the culture for yeast came back negative. The doctor called it a mild fungal skin infection, but I don't know how she came to that conclusion.  Furthermore, she didn't seem that knowledgeable about HSV.  I just want to get on with my life. Thank you so much for your time. You're doing a great service.

Hello Dr.
On march 26th I had oral and vaginal sex with a female. I wore a condom and had my boxer shorts.

A few days later felt pain/discomfort in my groin area along with itching.

On April 2nd I went to an STD clinic and had a HSV 2 test done. The test came back negative.

The next day I had a small pimple appear about 2 inches below my belly button. The next day the pimple popped while I was taking a shower. A little blood came out and with a towel I squeezed out the blood. The next morning the pimple was flat and turned dark in color. Till this day I have the brown mark on my skin.

On April 4th. I went to see my primary doctor. I explained to him my symptoms and showed him the mark on my skin. He said it was not HSV and that it was probably anxiety.

For the next week I continued to to have random pain in my legs, lower back and buttock.

On April 13th I was laying down and I felt a sharp pain in my penis and near the brown mark on my skin. Later on in the day I saw a very small brown spot about two inches away from the first brown spot.

On April 16th I went  to my primary dr and told him about my symptoms. He said it was not HSV and ordered blood work and STD test. The results came back negative. He tested me for everything except HSV. He again told me it was anxiety.

On April 30th I noticed 5 small pimples on my right inner thigh near my knee. The pimples turned a light brown color and till this day I still have them there.

The next day I went to planned parent hood. The nurse practionier saw the bumps on my legs. She said it was not HSV.

For the next two weeks I continued to have random pain and discomfort in my groin/pelvic area with itching.

Around May 15th I went back to my primary dr. He ordered a a ultrasound of my groin. The two weeks later I got the results back and he said everything was fine. He than sent me to see a urologist,

On June 28th while I was laying down I felt a sharp pain in my left testicle the pain lasted for about 20 min.

on July 1st I went to see the urologist and he said that he didn't see anything wrong with me.

The next day I notice a small red bump on my stomach. I went back to the STD clinic and had another HSV 2 test. The results came back negative. I showed the dr my bumps on my stomach and he said it's not HSV. Four days later the bumps went away.

On July 3rd. I woke up and felt slight pain on the tip of my penis. It hurt whenever it rubbed against my underwear. The discomfort lasted for 4 days.

On July 7th I began to feel pain/ discomfort in my groin and legs. I went back to my primary dr and he ordered me to have an HSV test done

I'm confused on what is going on in my body. Through out this time I have had random nerve pain in my body and random pimples that have appeared on my arms and chest. Is what a have HSV?

Hi Terri, I have been reading some interesting things on here about HSV2. I received devastating news on my daughter birthday July 1st, couple days ago. When i got my results it said I was positive for HSV2 IGG specific type @ 1.56. I never experienced any symptoms all and that doesnt matter. I read the CDC guideliness for low positives so i dont know what to believe. I thought positive was positive. The highest is at 3.5 i think. So i just recently retested on

HSV 1 can show up anywhere on the face from chin to eye, it is not a different infection, it just traveled along a different nerve to get to the surface of the facial skin  It particularly likes the lip, that's all.

I had hope to reassure you that you could believe the antibody tests and also believe that it would be extremely unlikely that you would get HSV 1 in a new location.

Perhaps the testing is not able to reassure you adequately.

Thank you so much for your speedy response. My initial question was too big so I edited it and left out some information. He performed oral sex on me and the next day I saw an active cold sore on his chin. The reason I thought it was HSV-2 was because it wasn't directly on his mouth. So, now that HSV-2 has been ruled out, could I have gotten G-HSV1 as unlikely as that may be? Also, I thought it was strange that I got those bumps after using the yeast medication for three days. Maybe it wasn't the yeast medication working but the prodromal stage ending?

I believe you do not have HSV 2 infection.  If anything, your high HSV 1 number might cause a false positive on the HSV 2 test.  But yours is a very low negative.  While it is true that the test misses a few infections, it doesn't sound likely at all in your case.  You have had a negative swab test in the past, you have a very low negative on your antibody test, the yeast medicine helped resolve your symptoms (yeast cultures aren't always accurate) and it's been eight years since you thought you might be infected, plenty of time to make a robust antibody response.

The odds are definitely in your favor.  You have done all the things you an reasonably do to detect infection.  If you do have HSV 2, which I seriously doubt, no one could have done more than you have to find out.

The other thing is that you are mostly reporting prodromal symptoms, not blisters and/or ulcers, except that one bump you describe that was cultured.

If you were my patient, I would advise you to move on with your life as though you do not have genital herpes.
