It is so amazing that the general data is that it is difficult to get gential HSV-1 from oral sex and in reality...lots of people are getting it. I had oral sex one time with a man and he had no visible sores and contracted it...boom easily!  My symptoms are burning and irritation that has lasted for 5 weeks now. It is terrible!

have you ever been tested for herpes before to know your hsv1 status? hsv1 is typically the risk with oral sex.

could this be genital herpes? Well it doesn't really sound like it. since hsv1 would be your risk, a lesion culture of active symptoms is the most accurate way to detect infection. A hsv1+ blood test doesn't tell you if it's oral or genital hsv1. If you've never been tested before to know your status, a blood test in a month is even less helpful.

thanks for taking the time to help.honeslty the only reason i made the mistake was because i was extremely intoxicated, and i didnt even remember what the girl looked like.it was the biggest mistake of my life.ive been tested for gonnorhea and chlamydia.im waiting for the results.the dr says no visible symptoms, but i have a tingling pain from my lower back down my legs, like they're asleep, pain in in my testicles, discomfort in my penis, and muscle aches.he told me to wait a month to get an igg herpes blood test. i just would like to hear an opinion, its gonna be on my mind for a month, and i have a feeling it is herpes.and again thanks for the help

Did the person you received the oral sex from have a visible cold sore?

Also, usually herpes looks like zits: like red. And eventually they blister over. What you're describing doesn't exactly fit the bill.

I'd suggest googling images and comparing what your symptoms look like.

God bless,
AC
