Ulcer concern

Recently I have given oral sex for a short period of time to a female who has hsv2. She has no symptoms and is asymptomatic. 12 days after given the oral sex a very large ulcer appeared on my bottom lip inside my mouth. I haven't had any fever like symptoms nor are there multiple ulcers around it. My lips are very dry but this has been due to licking them to much in the past. I have been depressed and quite run down for the past month and think it could be the main contributor to causing the ulcer but I thought I would just get some opinions from on here.
I have had ulcers in the past and have
had read that it is quite rare to get hsv2 orally especially with no sores present. Also I have read that the period for symptoms to show is between 2 and 10 days, 12 days is only just outside of that period of time. Except for dryness of my lips I can't see any overwhelming evidence of a cold sore and there is no itchiness which I have read is another symptom to look out for.

If anyone has any history with this sort of thing regarding hsv feel free to comment. Thanks everyone.

Thanks for your answers Fleetwood, will do my testing and go from there. All the best.

Herpes will not produce a single massive ulcer inside your mouth. Follow up with your testing but this looks like being negative.

I've been tested about 2/3 months ago for both hsv1 and hsv2 with both cases coming back negative. Had a swab test of a rash and a spot and a blood test after 8 weeks all of which coming back negative but no testing since the last time we were intimate. I have had no symptoms anywhere except for this ulcer in my mouth. Just worries about it because it massive and very painful, nothing like I've ever had before and like a said before I have had a lot of ulcers in the past.

Not at all, it is just if you've made the decision to pursue sexual contact with a HSV2 positive person, which is great by the way that you're prepared to overlook the condition to the person, then the risk is there.

When the relationship is over, wait 12-16 weeks to be tested and determine your status then. Any lesions can be swabbed to check sooner, but this is only conclusive in the positive.

It is not likely you'd contract HSV2 orally. Have you ever tested for HSV1?

Sadly yes, it's on and off, and awkward because of health factors. I'm aware that I can't keep posting on here if I continue seeing her as I'm aware of the possibilities. Just thought I would see thoughts on this. I will not be seeing her as I am moving state soon so this will be the last you will hear from me on this front :/
Apologies.

You posted in December about being with a HSV2 partner. Is this the same partner?
