It is possible to get a false negative result if the test was taken too soon after infection,there is no way that I am aware of that you can take something that would cause the test not to show antibodies if there are any there ( why would you want to do that anyways ? ) As for your boyfriend being negative that is entirely possible it would seem that you were infected before you met him and didn't know until now,what made you get tested if you had no symptoms ?
