Always have, just made a foolish mistake =\. I appreciate it Grace, you've eased my mind tremendously. I've been fretting for weeks. :( Thanks again, enjoy the rest of your weekend.
you have no reason to think you have hsv1 genitally at this point.
now that you are more herpes aware in general though be sure to discuss your oral hsv1 with potential partners and discuss their own herpes testing/status ( of which it's likely they were never tested ).

Grace, sorry to rehash this. I'm sure I'm being overly worrysome about nothing. I spoke to a urologist about it...he had a 'wtf' look when I asked him my question. Said he's never heard of that lol. I'm thinking it was folliculitis, but my last question is IF indeed it was genital HSV-1, what is the likelyhood that it should recur? How contagious might it be? Now it's in the back of my head when meeting a new potential partner, lol =\. I appreciate all your help thus far.
I've never ever ever heard of anyone transmitting their oral hsv to their genital area. if it did happen, it would be the same as if someone had performed oral sex on them - anywhere between 2-20 days.
Ty for such a prompt reply grace, I appreciate it tremendously. Grace, in the event one does autoinoculate themselves how soon after would they see genital obs?
it's not likelyyou transmitted oral herpes to your genital area. since this is gone, no reason for continued follow up on it. if it reoccurs, be seen promptly for an evaluation.
