freakin out a bit..

Okay, almost a year ago i had sex once with a guy i didn't know very well..and the condom did not stay on. he is the only person i have ever had intercourse with.  Since then i have had no noticeable issues.  Lately though, within the last month or so i have noticed that my buttocks hurts while sitting and although not as much when on my side, still feels irritated.  It was strictly vaginal penetration. My actual anus does not hurt or burn, and there are no visible cuts, or lesions or bumps or anything like that...  It seems to be the skin on the inside of the crack on my bum down low near my vagina...and it hurts just when sitting..and my tail bone seems to hurt too. I have noticed little jabs of pain at the top of my thighs.  I do not have painful urination, or bowel movements, no bleeding and have normal discharge.  It just feels uncomfortable when i sit..like burning and kind of dry..when i put cream there it helps for a little while.  If it were an std would the cream help?  Any thoughts?...

you need to go and be seen now. get properly tested for yeast and bacterial infections vaginally since they are far more likely to be the cause of your symptoms. The longer you put off treating them properly, the harder they are to clear up!  call today for that appointment!!!

no you can not contract oral herpes that way or genital herpes that way either.

I am learning quite a bit by reading this site, so thank you for answering questions!.. I was wondering if a woman gives a man oral sex (unprotected) and then right after touches her face, can she contract oral herpes that way?...or if a few hours later goes to the washroom, can she contract genital herpes from her hands touching her own genitals after touching his?

The worst thing is, all this worry makes me think that sex just isn't worth it. lol
I am actively looking for a relationship, and then i get these symptoms and think..oh no, i had unprotected sex 10 months ago..do i have herpes?!..what are the odds?..what do i do?!...please be anything but an STD! ... I know you guys aren't doctors but i value the opinion of people who know a lot about a subject and I figure if a bunch of people on here tell me it doesn't sound anything like herpes and my chances are low because i only had a one time encounter..then it gives me re-assurance.  I'll still make an appt with my doc though, if it doesn't go away soon.

A one time encounter is low risk.  But like grace said be seen for the best answers at this point.

Thank you very much.
I know it only takes once, but what are the odds of contracting the virus after only having sex once with one person? (no oral)..and it was almost a year ago...

this could be any number of things. best thing to do is to be seen and get a proper exam done. nothing really sounds like it's herpes going on to be honest.

let us know how your appointment goes!
