genital herpes

i was diagnosed with genital herpes in 2004 i havent had an outbreak since. Can i pass it on to my partner im not on medication havent taken any since 2004. Do i still have it ? can herpes go away? or maybe a misdiagnosis

In folks who contract hsv1 genitally, about half never have another recognizable recurrence. of those who do, the average is 1 additional ob the first year and then 1 ob every other year after that. Only a small percentage of folks who have hsv1 genitally, get recurrences more often than that. It's really no surprise at all that your genital herpes hasn't reoccurred since you have hsv1.

has your partner been tested to know their own herpes status?

hsv1 they did test on the slide from the fluids frm the blsiters

herpes never goes away.

what testing did you have done when you were diagnosed?  do you have hsv1 or hsv2 genitally?
