Herpes-No symptoms and no outbreak for last 7 years

I had diagnosied with herpes test my test reulst shows  HSV 2 igG = 1.9  ---> positive HSV 1gG=0.4---> Negative
My docor given ELISA reference levles as below:

Reference levles:    Negative; 1.1
in 2003 year i had date with girl, in last month only i have noticed i have very small blisters in my penis skin so in february 2010 only i have tested and it shows above results.

Here my question is in this period i have no sympotoms & not even single outbreak in last 7 years .but doctor saying that its  low positive. so now  i have HSV 2 or not ?

your current partner should be tested for herpes too in case this is a newly acquired infection for you.

Your hsv2 is a low positive and needs confirmed with further testing. Your choices are to wait until you have a return of blisters and get them cultured and typed or get a herpes WB blood test to see what that shows.

Have you had any new partners recently?
