herpes from kissing?

Hello

So last week on tuesday I went to a massage place, its not full service. Just a really nice massage and a handjob if youd like.

The girl that was giving me my massage was really into me and we kissed a couple of times.

I tried french kissing her once but she wouldnt, she pulled back.

My lips are chapped and were dry at the time. I didnt notice any cold sores on her lips.

What the are the chances of herpes?  need some clarification cause im worried and im only 23.

Its all speculation, she could be clean for all I know and maybe im just worrying for no reason.

this happened tuesday on the 25th. I have had no symptons and nothing on my lips, Its been 6 days since this happened.

Just want to know if im in the clear? to young to have herpes!

thank you!

I'm not at all clear about what you mean by clean.  If you mean they were not infected with HSV 1, then you are mistaken that you can make the determination that they did not have HSV 1 by any measure other than seeing a lesion of a cold sore or having them have a negative antibody test for HSV 1.  The symptoms of infection would be a cold sore.

Yes I have kissed other people in my lifetime but im sure they were all clean.

What are some symptoms of oral herpes?

Im pretty sure I didnt get anything but I just wanted to be sure. Yea no cold sores, no burning sensation on lips, absolutely nothing.

thanks for responding.

In the US, 56% of the population between 14 and 49 have oral herpes.  This is NOT normally a sexually transmitted infection.  You could acquire oral herpes from any person that you kiss in your life.  Many people acquire oral herpes when they are children, from an adult kissing them with a cold sore.

If you have had no cold sores by now, I think it is unlikely that you will develop them, but you are more in the clear when 10 days have passed since the kissing encounter.

Have you kissed other people in your lifetime?
