Should I retest for equivocal?

So I got a std blood panel test and everything came back negative. Except HSV1 which came back .97 equivocal. I asked the nurse should i be retested and she said i could but it usually stays the same. My partner got the same test after me and came negative. Should I retest or accept the results?

Newguy. I reread your other post. Move on, she tested negative and this has been your only new partner since the last test. To many variables in your favor to be worried about equivocal. Sorry i didn't catch who you were!!

You can retest if you like. Hsv1 blood tests arw not all that great. They miss up to 25% of infections so a negative isn't conclusive either. At this point if you don't have any symptoms like cold sores or lesions on the genitals i would leave it alone and go about your day like always. If you can't let it go then test again but wait a bit. At least a few weeks.
