Thank you Chelsea, I wish my doctor would have told me this!! My husband and I are considering dovorcing each other because she told me my results state I had genital herpes. She never went into detail about it...I have to apologize to my husband tonight! He has had one sore on his mouth and must have gave me the virus while going South! Aggghhh! I'm so happy its not hsv2, i'm never going to that doctor again! Thank you agian
If I'm reading correctly your results say positive for HSV 1 and negative for HSV 2. That mean you have Herpes Simplex 1 which 1/2 the people in the world have which you could have gotten from an adult kissing you when your were a child or you could have gotten it from kissing someone. Don't worry just be careful when you have a blister on your mouth not to kiss anyone or share chapstick because thats' when transmission is very high. Your Negative HSV 2 test means that you don't have genital herpes.
