herpes

I Got my test results back and I need a little help understanding them.

My HSV-1 igg results came out to 8.40(which is indicated high)
yet my HSV-2 is 0.23(less then .90 is negative, so very low)
My question is why is my HSV-1 so high? And does that have any affect on my HSV-2 results? Any other information I should know? Anything and everything helps!
Thanks.

if 1.1 is positive for hsv1? then, what does >22.40 mean for hsv1?

your hsv1 is higher because you have a well established infection with it.  It means nothing else.  anything over 1.1 is considered positive but it can range even to over 10.

You have HSV1, you don't have HSV2.
